In the continuing effort and partnership of helping and ensuring the rights of the children and seeking for their best interest, Buhangin Police Station in coordination with the City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) Buhangin District headed by Norman B. Baloro conducted an Orientation to the Newly-hired Law Enforcement Personnel last April 4, 2017 in Buhangin Proper Barangay Hall. There were 41 personnel together with their Field Training Officers SPO2 Venancio Raiz, Jr. and SPO2 Vincent Dela Torre attended.  The said activity highlighted the Definition of Juvenile Justice and Welfare System and Restorative Justice, Duties and Responsibilities of a Law Enforcement Personnel during the initial contact with the Children In Conflict With Law (CICL), Determining the age of criminal liability, Rights of the CICL and Diversion Program including the experiences of Social Workers in coordination with the Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) in handling such cases under the provision of Republic Act No. 9344 as amended by Republic Act No. 10630 otherwise known as “Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act, as amended”




Indeed, the participants expressed their appreciation for the fruitful discussion and learning shared by the speaker.

This is the third time that we partnered in giving orientation to the newly-hired Policemen.
